Just 3 Simple Steps: 1. Pour Greek yogurt into a strainer. 2. Put the strainer in the refrigerator after closing the lid. 3. Take it out and eat it after 48 hours. (Tips: Different filtering times have different effects. If you want thicker yogurt, please refrigerate it for more than 48 hours.)
Premium Stainless Steel Fine Mesh:Equipped with high-quality stainless steel fine mesh, the strainer ensures efficient filtration while preventing any solid particles from passing through. It effectively separates whey from yogurt to create thick, restaurant-style greek yogurt, and can also be used as a food sieve for straining rice water, tea residues, and pulp from fresh juices, meeting diverse kitchen needs.
Practical Lid Design for Hygiene & Freshness:As a yogurt strainer with lid, it comes with a tightly fitting cover that keeps dust, debris, and unwanted odors out during the straining process, especially when placed in the refrigerator overnight. The lid also helps maintain a stable temperature, ensuring better consistency for your homemade yogurt and kefir.
Reusable & Easy to Clean:This kefir strainer is designed for repeated use, making it an eco-friendly alternative to disposable filters. The smooth stainless steel mesh and sturdy frame are easy to rinse with water, and they are also dishwasher-safe for added convenience. Just make sure to dry it thoroughly after cleaning to prevent rust and extend its service life.
Compact & Versatile Kitchen Tool:Featuring a space-saving design, the strainer can be easily stored in kitchen cabinets or drawers when not in use. It is not only ideal for making thick greek yogurt and kefir, but also works as a fine mesh sieve for straining soups, sauces, and homemade jams, becoming a versatile helper in your daily cooking and baking.
Filtering Various Yogurts:
- This yogurt filter is suitable for any self-made yogurt in a well-set solid state after fermentation. No additional tools like cheesecloth are needed. If filtering Greek yogurt or if the milk is too thin, you can use a layer of cheesecloth.
★ Filtering Process:
- The filtering process occurs under refrigeration for a duration of 48 hours or less. The longer the time, the thicker the consistency. Experiment with different durations to find the texture you personally prefer.
★ Pouring Fermented Yogurt:
- Before pouring the fermented yogurt into the yogurt strainer, avoid stirring. Pour it slowly into the mesh strainer. Initially, there may be a small amount that leaks out; this is normal and usually stabilizes after a few minutes.
★ Yogurt Leakage:
- If most or all of the yogurt pours out immediately after pouring it into the yogurt filter, it indicates excessive stirring or insufficient coagulation. The yogurt is still edible or can be used as a starter culture, but further filtering may not be possible.
